Gaza Biennale: Edinburgh Pavillion بينالي غزة، جناح إدنبرة
outdoor exhibition | Open to the public 24h
In collaboration with Falastin Film Festival and Jack Arts, Gaza Biennale’s Edinburgh Pavilion presents exhibitions by three artists working in Gaza today:
Mohamed Alhaj’s “Abu Al-Kufiyyeh”
Malaka Abu Owda’s “The Scream of Death”
Ahmad Adawi’s “Between Fire and Blood”
Each exhibition is presented in the form of a billboard-fresco.
The Edinburgh Pavilion, is one of 13 pavilions, or “jinnah”, in 13 countries, affirming Gaza’s prominence in the field of art. Each artist and project in the Biennale forge a path for a future realized from the very best of what humanity has to offer: the power to transcend the worst of humanity through creativity, to witness the worst of our collective behavior in order to build a better world. We are in debt to each artist for leading the way, without which we will continue to be lost.
